MORROW, Ga -- A research paper co-authored by Clayton State's Dr. Leon Prieto and Dr. Mario Norman with Business major Essence Chenault, entitled Tackling Micro-aggressions in the Workplace: A Broken Windows Approach, has been selected as a winner of the Competitive Paper Competition at the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) Annual Conference which will take place in Minneapolis, MN from May 26-28, 2015. The LERA Conference is one of the world’s leading conference in labor relations and human resources and is attended by leading scholars from institutions such as Wharton Business School and Cornell University.
Founded in 1947, the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) is the singular organization in the country where academics and professionals interested in all aspects of labor/employment relations and human resources network to share ideas and learn about new developments, issues, and practices in the field.
According to Dr. Prieto, "Essence has the potential to get accepted into a PhD program in a Business related field. She is also a member of our Clayton State SHRM Chapter where I serve as an advisor. She has proven time and again that she has the drive and intelligence to be a success as a future HR practitioner and/or academic".
