Summer Session II and Full Summer Term Evaluations, Through July 28
The course and instructor evaluations for Summer Session II and Full Summer Term students are now available. Please complete two evaluations (course and instructor) for each class you are taking in this first short session. If you are taking full term courses, the evaluations for those courses will become available at a later date.
To complete the Session II and Full Term surveys, log onto the SWAN then go to the DUCK. You should have a message in the message portal having a link to your evaluations. If you do the evaluations at a later time, you can always get to the Message Portal via the Personal Information menu. Another way to access the evaluations is to go to the ‘academic history” page in the DUCK (then scroll down to where your grades would normally appear) and click on one of the links on that page.
These evaluations are important for accreditation purposes; course and curriculum improvement; and instructor evaluation. The faculty and administration appreciates your taking the time to fill these out. The last day to complete these evaluations is Saturday, July 28.
Please remember, you have to complete two evaluations for each course. Those who do not complete the evaluations (or opt out) will not be able to see their grades in the short session courses until Aug. 11.
The evaluations are confidential. No instructor, dean or department head is able to view any evaluation until after the semester is over and the grades are final. Additional information can be found at the following webpage:

Move-In Day Volunteers Needed
It’s that time of year again! Move-In Day 2012 is almost here and is one of the most important days of the year here at Clayton State University. Each year student organizations, faculty, staff, and members of the surrounding community volunteer to assist students as they move in to Clayton State’s residential facilities.
Freshman Move-In Day in Laker Hall is Tuesday, Aug. 7, and Upperclassmen Move-In Day in Clayton Station Apartments is Thursday, Aug. 9. Both move-in days will start promptly at 8 a.m.
This is an important time for you, as a volunteer to have a meaningful interaction with students and parents to welcome them into the Laker family. We are requesting that volunteers attend one of the Move-In Day Volunteer Informational Sessions. If you are volunteering as a part of a department, office, or organization please send one representative from that group. There will be three, short informational sessions:

Borrow Your Textbooks from The Loch Shop Rental Program
Renting your textbooks is a money-saving alternative against high textbook prices. With textbook rentals, you pay to use the book for a specified duration and you return the book at the end of that time. Because you won't be keeping the book, you pay less up front. Simply search for your textbook, pay for the book, use it, and return it.
Students who rent their textbooks can save up to 50 percent.
