Thanks to all the faculty and staff (221 in all) who responded to the Laker Lines survey.
Among the significant findings was the fact that only 40 percent of the respondents read Laker Lines every day, while a similar percentage (39 percent) read it twice a week or less. Along these same lines, the preferences for the frequency of Laker Lines broke down this way...
Every day - 19%
Four times/week - 2%
Three times/week - 14%
Twice a week - 24%
Once a week - 35%
Never - 6%
However, 80 percent of the respondents felt that the current format to be an effective way of receiving Clayton State news, and 80 percent prefer Laker Lines in the current format.
As a result, for the remainder of the summer semester, Laker Lines will continue in the same format, but will now be published three times a week -- Monday, Wednesday and Friday (Tuesday and Friday for the upcoming week of Independence Day).
Among the comments, probably the best was that the content of Laker Lines varied too much for everything to be lumped under the "News" heading. As a result, starting this week, Laker Lines will feature more organization, using headings like "Announcements" and "Events."
