Due to the Winter Break, approvals of all biweekly time must be estimated and approved by 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14, for the payroll ending on Dec. 21, 2012.
The week of Dec. 15 to Dec. 21 must be estimated. Please submit a paper timesheet if any corrections to the estimated time need to be made. Corrections will be processed on the following payroll.

Clayton State Alumnus John Morrow to be Commissioned on Campus as Marine Second Lieutenant, Dec. 15
John Lewis Morrow, a May 2012 honors graduate of Clayton State University with a B.S. in Biology, will be returning to campus on Saturday, Dec. 15 to be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United State Marine Corps.
The ceremony, which is open to the public, will take place at outdoor the Judge Eugene Lawson Amphitheater, located between the Baker Center and Spivey Hall, starting at 10 a.m.
Department of Teacher Education Looks for Feedback for Accreditation
The Department of Education at Clayton State University is currently undergoing its reaccreditation process through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). As part of this on-going process, the Department of Teacher Education has announced the opportunity for all interested parties to provide feedback on the University’s Teacher Education Program to its accrediting agency.
Interested parties are invited to submit third-party comments to NCATE. Please note that comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs offered, and should specify the party's relationship to the institution, for example; graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates, etc.

Todd Smith, manager of the University’s Loch Shop, has announced the launch of www.claytonstategear.com
, the official online store for Clayton State Athletics devoted exclusively to selling Laker athletic gear. From Adidas to Under Armour, www.claytonstategear.com
has something for every Laker fan, while offering the ease of online purchasing.

, allows the Loch Shop to offer its customers a larger number of items than we have space to offer in our current bricks and mortar location,” notes Smith, who adds that The Loch Shop splits the proceeds from every sale with the Clayton State Athletics Department.

The first installment of the Clayton State Small Business Development Center’s (SBDC) popular “Starting a Business” workshop for 2013 will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at the University’s Clayton State – Fayette instructional site, 100 World Dr., Ste. 100, Peachtree City, Ga.

First Lego League Super Regional Qualifier, Jan. 12
Clayton State, specifically the College of Information and Mathematical Sciences, will once again be hosting the First Lego League Super Regional Qualifier.
The event will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, in the Baker Center (largely on Main Street and the Commons Area) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CIMS’ Jay Terry is heading up the organization of the event. For details will be forthcoming.
King’s Celebration 2013, Jan. 15 to Jan. 21
The Annual Dr. Martin Luther King (MLK), Jr. Celebration is a collaborative effort between the Department of Campus Life, AmeriCorps, Diversity Education Experiences for Peers (D.E.E.P.) Educators, the Tau Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and the Sigma Sigma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., to commemorate the life of Dr. King and significant events that occurred during the Civil Rights movement.
