Clayton State University will be expanding its Spanish and French programs through an online eMajor approved earlier this year by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG).
The new World Languages & Cultures Programs will be available online starting with the spring 2016 semester. Clayton State’s programs will feature majors in both Spanish and French as well as minors in Spanish and French.
The eMajor program is a collaborative program developed by the USG. The online courses are designed to make these degrees more accessible and to also enhance the skills of working professionals.
The ability to speak a second language is a skill that can help make students more marketable to potential employers,” Says Dr. E. Joe Johnson, professor of Foreign Languages at Clayton State and the University’s eMajor liaison. “Whether your interests lie in translating or enhancing a business or healthcare degree, eMajor at Clayton State offers an array of foreign language programs to help you reach your goals.”

Three other USG institutions are taking part in the program; Armstrong State University, Valdosta State University and the College of Coastal Georgia
