Highlighting just one of the many opportunities that set being a Clayton State student-athlete apart from other institutions, men's soccer redshirt junior goalkeeper Ville Tuumi is spending two weeks in France as part of the University’s Study Abroad Program.
During this exceptional opportunity to expand horizons beyond both sport and regular study, Tuumi will be sending back details and pictures of all of his experiences during the trip, and they’ll be available in full on the Clayton State Athletics website, www.ClaytonStateSports.com.
A native of Pori, Finland and a member of Clayton State's men's soccer team, Tuumi joined the program following two years at Division I University of Hartford. While there he was named to the America East All-Rookie Team and was twice named AE Rookie of the Week.
With the Lakers he appeared in three games this past season, starting two and earning three wins. He posted one shutout and had a 0.39 goals against average with one goal allowed and eight saves.
