Clayton State Ranks Number One in Best Value in Georgia Higher Education

Sep 10 2015

Clayton State University received the number one in best value in Georgia higher education ranking by James magazine for the second consecutive year. James magazine’s 2015 education issue also listed Clayton State among the top ten regional colleges and universities in the state.

Clayton State has made several appearances in the James magazine education issue rankings in the past five years.

In James magazine’s July 2010 Second Annual Best Colleges & Universities in Georgia issue, the publication declared Clayton State is “proof that ethnic diversity and scholastic achievement can make for a happy marriage in the modern South.” In the 2011 version of Best Colleges & Universities in Georgia, James called Clayton State a “treasure of a Georgia university.” And in 2013, Clayton State appeared in the third spot for best value in the state -- the University has claimed the number one spot for best value for the last two years.

In other words, Clayton State is the best in the state at making dreams real.

Ratings are based on a review of national and regional rankings, plus consultations with education and business leaders around the state.  Criteria include admissions standards such as standardized test scores, plus career-placement after graduation, and more, explains the James editorial staff.
