Clayton State Named to AJC’s Top Workplaces in Atlanta List for the Fourth Consecutive Year

Mar 23 2015

For the fourth consecutive year, Clayton State University has been named one of the “Top 150 Workplaces in Atlanta” by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Clayton State was the only institution of higher education to be ranked among the Top 25 large companies at #15. And was one of only two institutions to be named in the Top 150 overall. The other being Brenau University who was named in the “Midsize” category.

According to the AJC, "a common theme crystallizes in the articles about these companies that have earned the loyalty and affection of their employees: They have invested as much in their employees’ well-being as they have in tangible perks. The reward for the company can be measured in satisfied customers and on the bottom line.

"These companies should be considered the best metro Atlanta has to offer."

The University was recognized at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Top 100 Workplaces invitation-only event held on Thursday, Mar. 19 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. And also, in the 2015 Top Workplaces section that ran in the AJC on Sunday, Mar. 22.

More than 1,400 companies were nominated or asked to participate in the 2015 awards program by the AJC and its partner, Workplace Dynamics. Employees across the metro area responded to print and online solicitations beginning in September 2014.

Workplace Dynamics then surveyed a total of 112,170 metro Atlanta companies and compiled the top 25 large companies (500 or more employees), the top 50 midsize (150-499 employees) and the top 75 small companies (fewer than 150 employees).
