Clayton State Heroes Climb the Great Wall, Visit Airplane Manufacturer

May 21 2015

According to Mao Zedong, "you're not a hero until you've climbed the Great Wall.”

Mark that off the checklist for Clayton State University students on the May 2015 Study Abroad program to the People’s Republic of China. In addition to climbing the Great Wall (the engraving in the middle of the photo is of Chairman Mao’s quote about heroes), visiting Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and taking the bullet train from Beijing to Shanghai, Professor John Mascaritolo is leading a group of business students to various Chinese companies.

First was COMAC, the Chinese government-owned airplane manufacturer, where the group visited the customer service group that train the pilots of the company’s customers. The students also got a chance to participate in simulation testing.
