With the Clayton State University 2011/12 athletic season now concluded, the summer is right around corner. And with that comes athletic summer camps.
The Clayton State Athletic Department’s first round of summer camps on the Clayton State campus in Morrow start on Monday, June 4 with boy’s basketball and boy’s and girl’s tennis. Also offered throughout the summer are girl’s basketball, boy’s and girl’s soccer and boy’s and girl’s speed development. The camps are for children and youth – ages six to 17.
Campers will have the choice of attending a full-day camp (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) or a half-day camp (9 a.m. to noon). In addition, campers also have the option of combo camps (example – basketball in the morning, soccer in the afternoon). Full-day camps cost $125, while half-day camps cost $65.
Clayton State summer athletic camps are designed to provide the highest quality instruction in a safe, fun and socially-enriching environment. The primary goal is for all campers to enjoy themselves while also learning and improving their skills.
Daily activities are led by Clayton State head coaches and focus on character building aspects of each individual sport, including self-esteem, discipline and responsibility. Our camps combine small group instruction as well as game play to ensure development of fundamental skills and game knowledge.
