John Lewis Morrow, a May 2012 honors graduate of Clayton State University with a B.S. in Biology, will be returning to campus on Saturday, Dec. 15 to be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United State Marine Corps.
The ceremony, which is open to the public, will take place at outdoor the Judge Eugene Lawson Amphitheater, located between the Baker Center and Spivey Hall, starting at 10 a.m.
A tutor at the Center for Academic Success during his undergraduate years at Clayton State, Morrow previously graduated Marine Officer Candidate School (OCS) 207 in August 2011. OCS is a 10-week course designed to train, screen, and evaluate potential marine officers.
“After graduation from OCS, I left Quantico and arrived in Georgia a day before I began fall classes of my senior year,” he explains.
