WSB consumer advocate Clark Howard’s Family 2 Family Special on life after graduation, filmed in a large part at Clayton State University, will be re-broadcast on WSB-TV on Thursday, June 26, at 8 p.m.
Originally broadcast on May 23, this “Ask Clark?” feature centers around Channel 2 inviting college students to ask Howard about life after college. Questions came in from all over Georgia and Clayton State, where Howard hosted his Family 2 Family Special.
Howard’s appearance at Clayton State was arranged by Dr. Angelyn Hayes, assistant vice president for Student Affairs, and Bridgette McDonald, director of the Office of Career Services, working with Howard’s producer Dorthey Daniels and WSB-TV Director of Programming Art Rogers, a member of the Clayton State class of 1977.
As Howard notes, for the first time since the recession began, more companies are looking to hire new grads. Although the overall job outlook is improving, there is lots of competition. Given those circumstances, Howard focuses this Family 2 Family Special on answering graduates’ questions, like: Should they attend graduate school or look for a job? And, how should they pay off school loans? As part of the program, WSB also talked to Georgia-based companies and businesses from around the country about what they look for in potential hires.
