Alisa Kirk has been appointed as director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in the College of Business at Clayton State University.
Kirk previously served as the lead consultant for the Clayton State SBDC. As director, she will manage the daily operations of the SBDC. Among other duties, she will oversee the development and delivery of high quality business training programs that are responsive to the growing needs of the local business community.
Kirk succeeds Kyle Hensel, who will head the Rome, Ga., SBDC.
The Georgia Small Business Development Center has a variety of classes to serve the needs of adults who want to be retrained, or who need to be retrained in difficult economic times. SBDC also has several topical classes throughout the year on subjects related to specific areas of business.
