Clayton State University's Master of Arts in Teaching Program (M.A.T.) prepares professional educators who engage in reflective practice and are competent, caring, committed, collaborative, culturally responsive, and prepared to teach diverse learners in an ever-changing society.
Our M.A.T. Program meets the requirements for professional certification in Secondary Education (grades 6-12) with concentrations in English, Mathematics, History, and Biology education.
and is geared toward those who wish to attain a GA Secondary Teaching Certificate (6-12) and have prior college coursework in one of these fields.
The M.A.T. is offered through Clayton State's Department of Teacher Education and School of Graduate Studies.
