On May 26th, Clayton State Library users will notice some changes to the online catalog. In addition to a new look, users will find a single, unified interface for both local (Clayton State) and GIL Express collections.
While there are no changes to the GIL Express service, which allows members of the Clayton State community to borrow books from other institutions within the University System of Georgia, the process of requesting books is different.
Library staff is offering training sessions to show users how to request books using this new version of the catalog. We’ve scheduled multiple sessions to accommodate various schedules.
Sessions are open to anyone who is interested. Reservations are not required. Feel free to drop in as your schedule allows. All sessions will be held in library classroom L216 and should last no longer than 30 minutes.
Tuesday, May 30 12pm & 4pm
Wednesday, May 31 10am & 12pm
Thursday, June 1 10am & 4pm
Wednesday, June 5 12pm & 4pm
If you are unable to attend one of these sessions and would like instruction in placing GIL Express requests, please schedule an appointment with a library staff member here: https://proxy.qualtrics.com/proxy/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fclayton.libcal.com%2Fbooking%2Fresearch&token=67RKMaHBZZBPhSN7IF%2FjC5OPUN9aAfB6N8YX3vPSFXo%3D.
