*Abroad Office student accounts and mandatory study abroad documentation must be completed in order to participate on a study abroad program. This may exclude Passport Photo Cover Pages and/or Visas due to delays in delivery.

Program Description: This study abroad course covers Industrial, Environmental, and Agricultural Chemistry in southern Vietnam. The course will include lecture topics coupled with site visits to various chemical industries in the Ho Chi Minh area, traditional fruit orchards and organic fruit orchards south of Ho Chi Minh, and several environmentally damaged historic sites. Students will also participate in visits to other cultural sites in and around Ho Chi Minh City.
What is included: Airfare, ground transportation (in Vietnam), lodging, three meals a day, entrance to historical sites, and Mekong River floating market boat ride. Student Program fees also include faculty travel costs. Emergency medical insurance with CISI (learn more here).
What is not included: Clayton State tuition for course credit, Passport/Visa fees*, snacks, and personal shopping expenses, Healthcare Clearance Form physician and medical fees*, travel insurance (learn more about travel insurance here). Estimated Costs: Note that your program fees and tuition are separate costs. Program fees are the fees that pay for what is included in the program costs. Prepare for spending money and for additional meals. Speak to your Program Director for more details.

Maymester Payment Policy:
First Payment & Deposit: Monday, January 29, 2018, of $500.00
Second Payment: Monday, March 12, 2018, of $1,700.00
Final Payment: Monday, March 26, 2018, of $500.00
Payments need to be made to the Bursar Office.
Health Clearance Form (note for payment and refund policy*): STUDENTS MUST MAKE SURE THAT THE REQUIRED HEALTH CLEARENCE FORM HAS BEEN APPROVED & CLEARED. IF YOUR HEALTH CLEARENCE HAS BEEN DENIED BY YOUR PHYSICIAN PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE WITHDRAWAL DATES. Students should complete the Health Clearance Form before Monday, March 12, 2018, in order to receive a full refund, excluding the non-refundable deposit of $250.00 and any prepaid expenses. Remember, this form must be mailed by your physician or University Health Services (UHS) to the Clayton States’ Office of International Programs.

Maymester Refund Policy:
Add/Drop/Withdrawal Periods from the Course: Students who are considering dropping the course need to refer to the Academic Calendar for the current semester to review add/drop dates, withdrawal dates, etc. to make sure these dates do not affect your withdrawal process from the study abroad program. If you have questions or concerns, speak with your Academic Adviser and Program Director. The Academic Calendar can be located here.
