Shared Services is the consolidation and streamlining of an organization's administrative support functions into a "Shared Services Center" to ensure the most efficient and effective service delivery possible.
The shared services model will enable the University System to increase the quality and consistency of information, increase functionality and service to customers, facilitate the management and control of risk -- especially where one person is performing a critical function, and reduce costs through economies of scale. The most tangible benefits will be around processes, people, and technology.
ADP (Automatic Data Processing, Inc.) is the company in which the Board of Regents has contracted to implement the new Enterprise Human Resources System and Time & Labor System.

Employee Self Service allows employees to enter or update addresses, phone numbers, and dependent information, set up direct deposits, enter emergency contacts, change tax withholdings, and view iPay (pay statements).
Manager Self Service will be used by managers/supervisors to perform job actions previously processed through the Personnel Action Form.
BOSS (Benefits Online Self-Service) allows employees to enter or update benefit specific data for elections, dependents, family status changes, etc.
e-Time is used to process payroll. e-Time includes all aspects of data entry, editing, scheduling, and reporting of time.
Managers and Supervisors; Faculty and Staff; as well as Student Workers will need to be trained in one or several aspects of the ADP system.
ADP will collect all benefit payments.
ADP will handle all COBRA activities, which includes payments.
