Laker Hall is Clayton State’s student residence for first-year students. The apartment-style layout gives each student a private space to relax, study or hang out with friends. It’s your home away from home.

Laker Hall offers a number of theme communities for students who seek to surround themselves with peers who share similar values.
Honors Community (must be approved for Honors program) – Students in this community enjoy an intellectual challenge and desire an environment that is conducive to success in their rigorous academic programs.
Healthy Living Community – Students who are committed to living a well-balanced and active lifestyle will enjoy living in a community with like-minded people who share these similar values. Students choose to live their lives free of alcohol, tobacco, and other mind-altering substances both on and off campus. A Resident Assistant plans programs and activities in support of healthy, well-rounded lifestyles. Healthy eating, exercise, and managing stress and time are all encouraged in the Healthy Living community.
Laker Pride Community – Love for Clayton State University runs deep in this community. Students are encouraged to be active on-campus, and work to develop the skills and techniques needed to be an academically successful first-year students. Participating in campus events and being at the forefront of campus involvement and school pride are pluses in this community.

For Summer Term enrollment, only Laker Village Apartments are available for on-campus housing.
Paying for University Housing
Start your financial aid application process early! Students who anticipate having difficulties with college expenses, including housing costs, should contact the Office of Financial Aid for assistance in determining eligibility and applying for federal education grants and loans.
Important Note for Housing Students: All tuition and housing charges must be paid in full (or a payment plan in place) prior to residence hall move-in. Students with a balance due will not be permitted access to the residence hall/unit.
