Sasha started working with Urban Perform (UP) in August 2014 and is the current Executive Director. Urban Perform is a non-profit fitness center located in Vine City, one mile from the Georgia Dome. She is a native of central Georgia and a true Georgia Bulldogs fan. She attended The University of Georgia, earning a Master’s in Kinesiology before joining UP. During her time at UGA, she developed programs for The Center for Physical Activity and Health and assisted with clinical research in The Body Composition/Metabolism Lab. She also co-wrote the curriculum for the first Health Matters Camp, a camp dedicated to overweight youth in Athens, GA. She has a passion for health and fitness, with basketball being her favorite physical activity!
Sasha enjoys working with all populations, especially young people. While achieving her B.S. in Exercise Science at Georgia Southwestern, Sasha led many youth-oriented physical activities on campus. She served as a mentor for young female athletes in Americus, and enjoyed gaining hands on experience in athletic training and cardiac rehabilitation. Along with this, her greatest joy is helping others learn the importance of regular physical activity, and its impact on optimal health and making it fun! She appreciates her role at Urban Perform, which allows her to bring fitness to those in need. Urban Perform offers $2 fitness classes and a mobile youth program to communities on the Westside of Atlanta.
