Students pursuing Health Care Management should anticipate additional semester and/or annual
expenses during program enrollment totaling approximately
The College of Health at Clayton State University contracts with health care agencies for internship experiences within the
Greater Atlanta area. Increasingly these facilities are
requiring criminal background checks and drug screenings for students.
Students must complete
both a background check and drug screen through the approved
vendor AdvantageStudents (www.advantagestudents.com).
Students are responsible for the associated background and drug
Results from the background and drug screens
are made available to the respective facilities;
faculty and staff of the College of Health are not
provided the results. Based upon the results, the facility will determine if a student is eligible for placement.
If a student is denied the opportunity to participate
in the internship experience due to a less than satisfactory
background check or drug screen, the student will not be allowed
to participate or continue in the Health Care Management program at Clayton
Students who withdraw during an academic semester
are required to complete another background check and drug
screen prior to returning the subsequent semester.
