Dr. Thomas Eaves is a physics professor in the Chemistry and Physics department at Clayton State University. He teaches PHYS 1111, PHYS 1112, PHYS 2211 and the corresponding labs for each of these courses. He also serves as an academic advisor for pre-engineering students.
Dr. Eaves was the "founding Dean" of the CSU School of Graduate Studies and served as Associate Provost and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs from 2005 to 2010 at Clayton State.
Dr. Tom, as he is known to CSU students, is an avid amateur photographer and golfer and has coached championship golf teams at both the high school and college level. His interest in biomechanics in relationship to sports frequently finds itself into Dr. E's lectures and physics exercises. He is a walking example of how medicine and physics work together to help people after joint surgeries, particularly from injury to the back, wrists, shoulders and knees.
