Mark Watson, Ph.D.

 
 
 

 

Mark Watson earned a BFA in painting and art history from Ohio University in 2005 and a Ph.D. in art history from Columbia University in 2012.  Before joining the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Clayton State, he taught art history at Columbia and Rutgers University.  In the Fall 2017 semester, he will be teaching ART 2301: Introduction to Premodern Art (online and seated), ART 2302: Introduction to Modern Art (seated), and an online section of ART 3101: Visual Arts and Society (Contemporary Art).

Curriculum Vitae

His research and teaching interests include contemporary art and criticism, Native American art, American art, and the environmental humanities.
