Committee Function:Facilitate recognition of CIMS student awards and organize the annual CIMS Awards Dinner and Ceremony.
Committee Function:Collect nominations and award portfolios for CIMS faculty awards and the CIMS nominee for the University Smith Award. The chair of this committee will serve as the CIMS representative on the University Smith Award Committee.
Committee Function:Review and make recommendations on tenure and promotion portfolios in the Fall Semester. Review and make recommendations on pre-tenure and post-tenure portfolios in the Spring Semester.

The CIMS Tenure and Promotion Committee will be established during the first week of the academic year according to the following criteria:
*For initial implementation in AY 2013, one department will elect a representative for a two-year term and the other department will elect a representative for a one-year term, with determination made by flip of a coin during the August 2012 CIMS meeting.
Committee Function: Review curriclum proposals for CIMS undergraduate and graduate programs. This committee will conduct face-to-face meetings. All action items and proposals will be posted to a public web site. After meetings, all committee actions will be posted on a public web site.If a proposed academic policy has the potential to have an effect on both undergraduate and graduate programs, the entire committee will consider and take action on the proposal. If a faculty member on the Undergraduate Subcommittee is a graduate faculty member, he or she may serve on the Graduate Subcommittee if the department so desires.
