Relay Recorder Basics
The use of the TechSmith Relay server should be used exclusively for educational related activities per USG Appropriate Use Policy 5.1.3
If copyright protected material, without having written permission of the copyright holder, is found on the Relay server the following actions will be taken:
First Offense: The copyright protected material will be removed and a warning issued.Second Offense: The copyright protected material will be removed and the user will be prohibited from using TechSmith Relay for a term.Third Offense: The copyright protected material will be removed and the user will be prohibited from using TechSmith Relay for a year.
Any subsequent violations will be referred to the Office of the Provost.
If a user has been prohibited from using TechSmith Relay but needs to upload new video content please contact the Director who can assist with uploading the content via a CID computer.
Any movies or digital media that is found on CSU servers will be removed unless permission from the copyright owner is on file at the CID.
We do encourage the use of outside multimedia but please link directly to the source rather than uploading a copy to TechSmith Relay. Any YouTube videos found on the Relay server will be removed.
