We often have a feeling of how things are working in the classroom, but when we systematically evaluate and reflect on those experiences, we begin to generate ideas that are not only informative to us, but can also be valuable to others.
SoTL is the “systematic study of teaching and/or learning and the public sharing and review of such work through presentations, publications, or performances” (McKinney, 2007, p. 10).
In this workshop, we will introduce participants to the SoTL process. Participants will leave with a foundational understanding of SoTL, and will begin formulating ideas for their own SoTL projects.
