Clayton State University helps students achieve their potential through continuous academic advising. Students are assigned advisors based on their major areas of study or their academic interests. The advisor helps students make decisions that will optimize the educational experience at Clayton State University. The advisor also facilitates successful attainment of students’ educational/career goals. Specifically, advisors assist students to evaluate their academic progress in areas such as

1. general education requirements,
2. academic majors and minors,
3. graduation requirements, and
4. academic policies and procedures.
