It's important to understand what makes you unique and how to communicate that to potential employers.
We have always been told to follow our dreams and indulge in our passion. However, as college students, at some point, we are all hit with the same punch, REALITY! Many people have degrees collecting dust on the mantelpiece because they were unsure of the details of their major. Let’s be honest here; we collect thousands of dollars in student debt, spend countless hours studying for exams, and invest a ton of time trying to attain a degree to advance in life. It is absurd to choose a major without doing the proper research.
The time I used spend working on my resume averaged to be something like 90% making it look pretty and 10% filling it in with content. You might think I am a bit vain, but the reality is that your resume is your actual first impression with a potential employer. If my resume has spelling errors, bad formatting, and looks inconsistent over all; it would be the same as me coming in with my hair unkempt, my tie undone, and two different shoes on.
