Clayton State University has a university-wide advising policy. Academic Advisement is MANDATORY each semester before course registration.
“MUST SEE ADVISOR” holds are placed on students’ DUCK accounts before the Priority Advising Periods (MARCH AND OCTOBER). Students must consult with their assigned advisor each semester before the hold can be removed.

All students should schedule an appointment to meet with their assigned Advisor for the 1st advising session to ensure that the curriculum requirements for the major are clearly understood.
After your initial in-office/face-to-face advising session, we offer Advising via Email for those students that remain in GOOD Academic Standing and do not have questions about their curriculum requirements.
