Freshman Live-On-Campus Requirement: As part of Clayton
State University’s Student Success Initiative, all first-time
and transferring freshman students who enroll full-time are
required to live in the campus residence hall, Laker Hall, for
the fall and spring semesters (with few exceptions).
Limited space is available in Laker Hall for non-freshman
transfer students and non-traditional students who wish to live
on campus and plan to attend Clayton State University full-time.
Complete and submit your housing form.
Students who are required or who desire to
live in Laker Hall must make a housing reservation:
Complete and return a
housing reservation form along with a housing
reservation deposit. The reservation deposit must accompany
the reservation form and may be paid by check (payable to
Clayton State University) credit card, money order,
cashier’s check, or debit card.
After your housing reservation form and
deposit are received, you will be sent information about the
housing confirmation process (for non-traditional and
non-freshman transfer students: if space in Laker Hall is

All students living on campus at Clayton
State University are required to choose and purchase residential
meal plans. Commuter students have the option of purchasing meal

Meal Plans: all-you-care-to-eat
meals at the Lakeside Dining Hall. There’s a plan for
everyone, from commuters who need occasional visits to
residents who want unlimited options.
Dining Dollars: funds placed on
your LakerCard that are reserved exclusively for food
purchases at any on-campus dining venue—and they’re
tax-exempt! Dining Dollars are included with all residential
meal plans and most commuter plans.
