Benefits for Retirees

Many benefits are available to retirees who officially retired from Clayton State University — through both the University System of Georgia and through Clayton State.

Clayton State University Benefits/Perks

Clayton State University Benefits/Perks Information about CSU benefits/perks are listed and discussed in the Clayton State University Retiree Handbook. The Retiree Handbook is a publication of the CSU Department of Human Resources. It provides information for employees preparing for retirement and information for retirees on various retiree benefits/perks that are specific to Clayton State.

One of the important benefits for retirees is eligibility to receive a Retiree LakerCard, which will identify you as a Clayton State University Retiree and will allow access to additional CSU retiree benefits/perks. To receive your card, go to the Laker Office in the University Center to trade in your old LakerCard for a retiree version. You will be photographed and issued a new card. By showing the card, you may access the benefits described in the Retiree Handbook. Among these benefits are free admission to athletic events, free campus parking permit, use of Clayton State Library services, the active employee discounts at Spivey Hall and SAC Fitness Center, an email account, etc., and some Emeritus perks. Go to the Retiree Handbook to check out these benefits/perks.
