As a reminder, power will shut down to most buildings on main campus from Oct. 9-10 for campus improvements. Power will be turned off at specified campus buildings for 10 hours each day beginning at 7 a.m.
Weather Consideration: There are anticipated thunderstorms on Monday, Oct. 9 which means that Georgia Power would not be able to conduct the scheduled work. In the event that this happens, Monday’s work will be rescheduled to a later date. Additional communications will follow if needed.
The schedule for the power shutdown is as follows (see the map below for affected buildings):
Oct. 9 - East Side Buildings (in blue below)
Annex, Arts & Sciences, Athletics & Health Center, Clayton Hall, College of Business, Edgewater Hall, Facilities Management, Faculty Hall, Lecture Hall, Magnolia Hall, Library, James M. Baker University Center
Oct. 10 - West Side Buildings (in orange below)
Student Activities Center, Tennis Courts and Soccer Field Lighting, Spivey Hall, Music Education, Harry S. Downs Center for Continuing Education
Laker Hall and CSU East will not be affected by the shutdown.
Technology: All computing systems should remain functional, including: email, website, wireless, ServiceNow, Banner, VPN and most other applications.
Modified Office Hours on Monday, Oct. 9:
- Budget and Finance Department - Closed
- Bursar’s Office – Closed
- Admissions and Center for Advising and Retention - Closed
- Financial Aid, Enrollment Management, and Registrar- Relocated to CSU East, Arbor Hall and open from 9 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
