Join Dr. Hynes and your fellow Clayton State University employees on the University Center Plaza Thursday, March 16th at 2pm for the HealthTrails Kickoff walk! Water and snacks will be provided after our walk around the lake. So bring your athletic shoes and a jacket tomorrow and plan to take a short afternoon break from the office.
HealthTrails is a 6 week (USG) Well-being program this spring for all USG institutions. All benefit eligible employees are able to compete and offer a fun way to long steps, water consumption, and kindness. The winning institution will be treated to lunch with USG leadership and presented with the USG Well-being traveling trophy.
What could be more fun than tracking health improvement on interactive trails from all over the world? Whether it’s Cambrian Way in Wales, Pacific Northwest Trail in Montana/ Idaho/Washington, Snowman Trek in Bhutan, or any of the other fascinating international trails, you’ll be inspired to keep moving toward better health. And you’ll be rewarded with exciting images and descriptions of each area’s people, places, and history.
To make it even more fun you can use Fitbit or Jawbone to track your daily steps. Sync it with your HealthTrails account or the app, and it automatically loads to your tracker. A Fitbit subsidy ($44) is available for the first 5,000 employees who do not currently own a tracking device and haven’t previously received a USG Fitbit subsidy. The Fitbit subsidy eligible employees will receive an email on the Monday following their registration.
Don’t miss your chance to have fun and learn – while improving mood, stress, and energy level.
