Teacher of the Year Award 2016
Nomination and Application Instructions
The nomination period is open to nominate a professor or colleague for the 2016 Arts & Sciences Teacher of the Year Award and will remain so until Feb. 17, 2017, at midnight. Each year, the College of Arts & Sciences presents the award to a deserving full-time faculty member for their exemplary service and dedication to teaching our student body, in their particular field of expertise.
Please take a moment to nominate a deserving faculty member for this prestigious award. Nominations do not have to come from College of Arts and Sciences personnel.
Clayton State University’s greatest assets include its high quality faculty with outstanding teaching abilities. We wish to recognize a College of Arts and Sciences faculty member who is particularly effective in the college classroom. While there is no one role-model for exemplary teaching, great teachers, generally, exhibit a combination of characteristics which include enthusiasm, creativity, compassion, authority, authenticity, patience, persistence and humor. Our college wants to celebrate the accomplishments of a great teacher in our midst with a plaque and a monetary award.
All full-time faculty members are eligible for nomination.
In order to be eligible for the award, a teacher must be nominated by another faculty member, a staff person, or a student. The deadline for nomination is February 19th, 2016, at noon. Please, take a moment to recommend a deserving colleague and elaborate on his/her outstanding qualities by utilizing one of three avenues:
