The Office of Student Community Standards is recruiting additional, interested faculty to serve on the University Hearing Panel (UHP) for the Spring 2017 semester. The University Hearing Panel is comprised of Clayton State students, faculty, and staff, and convenes throughout the academic year to adjudicate cases of student academic and general misconduct.
Participation on the Hearing Panel requires initial training and then a monthly commitment of between 2-5 hours each month, with hearings usually held on Thursdays and Fridays throughout the semester. This is a great opportunity to expand your service to the University, and you will also receive documentation for your professional portfolio. Current hearing panel members and those who have served previously in that role have expressed that they learned a great deal about the institution and the rights of students and faculty.
If you are interested in being a part of the UHP, please fill out the brief application form at https://proxy.qualtrics.com/proxy/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fclaytonstate.qualtrics.com%2FSE%2F%3FSID%3DSV_es3SZQjqkNjKm2h&token=CqJf1dsYlQgvYtWgzuLDtdbeTJ64bbQ1cpX%2F7dqgYAY%3D by Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017.
Mandatory training for UHP members will be held on Friday, Jan, 20, 2017 from 1-5 p.m. in UC 312. Please note that if you are unable to attend the training on Friday, January 20th, you will not be able to serve on the hearing panel for the spring semester. The next training will be in Fall 2017.
If you have any questions please contact The Office of Community Standards at email@example.com . Thank you in advance for your consideration.
