REMINDER: State Business Transactions Disclosure Report
Greetings and Happy New Year.
It’s that time again to remind you that Board policy requires each institution to send information to its employees regarding the possible obligation of an employee to file a State Business Transactions Disclosure report. The disclosure notice is distributed to all System employees each year.
Attached please find this year's State Business Transactions memorandum.
Georgia law requires that all public officials and employees disclose all required business transactions that occurred during the previous calendar year. The information must be electronically submitted by the employee no later than January 31, 2016.
Please read the attached memorandum from the System Office. The attached sheets and the website below explain who must report and what types of business transactions must be reported to the state.
If you are required to file the disclosure report, please go to http://ethics.ga.gov/filings-for-state-employees/ and follow the instructions.
You do not have to complete and file the State Business Transaction form if you determine that you did not have any business transactions with the state last year.
As always, my thanks.
