CSUSecure Wireless & Password Policy Changes
Perhaps you've heard the whispers and rumors. There is a new wireless network at Clayton State.
ITS is pleased to announce a new and secure wireless network (SSID) called CSUSecure. You should use this wireless network instead of Marut. CSUSecure uses authentication and encryption to keep your data safe. In the near future, we will launch CSUGuest that will replace Marut entirely. Use CSUSecure for Clayton State University business when connecting wirelessly unless there have been other arrangements made. Here are the settings for setting up your devices.
- SSID: CSUSecure
- Security: WPA 2 Enterprise
- Username: Use your CSU credentials
- Password: Use your CSU credentials

Password Policy Change
ITS is making changes to the password policy to strengthen network and application security throughout the University, to comply with Board of Regents Policy and Best Practices. On your next password change, you will be required to have the following:
Additionally all employees will be requited to change their passwords every 90 days. Please be aware a password must not contain easily accessible or guessable personal information about the user or user’s family, such as birthdays, children’s names, addresses, etc. You will be notified via email 10 days prior to when you will need to change your password.
- At least eight Characters
- Capital Letter
- Lowercase Letter
- A number OR a non-alphanumeric special character
