Justin Mays to be New Director of the Center for Instructional Development
Justin Mays will be serving as the new Director of the Center for Instructional Development beginning July 1, 2015. He will oversee the activities of the Center as well as the Office of Distance Learning.
Mays holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Georgia College and State University and a Graduate Certificate in Internet Marketing from the University of San Francisco.
He came to Clayton State in 2014 as the Director of Distance Learning and in that capacity he has assisted Colleges and Degree Programs in the design and development of online courses and programs. Additionally, he has worked directly with faculty on online course design as part of the Center’s Academy for Online Course Development, delivered several Academy sessions, and offered workshops on the use of pedagogical technology tools for course delivery. Mays also teaches an online course for the Social Sciences Department. Prior to coming to Clayton State, he served as the Director for Georgia Military College’s Online Campus.
Mays brings his experience with course development and online teaching to the Center and as Director will continue to lead the CID team as they work with faculty and staff to provide outstanding support for teaching and learning at Clayton State.
