On Sunday, Feb. 22, electric and gas service for several buildings on campus will be shut down so that the new Science Building can be connected. The work begins at 2 a.m. and is expected to last 12 hours. The rest of Sunday and the early hours of Monday morning will be used to restore electric and gas service to the affected buildings.
The Buildings that will be affected by the power shut down are; Central Plant and Natural Behavior Science (NBS). The LAB Annex may also be shut down depending on the connection point.
The buildings and emergency generators that will be affected by the gas shut down are Central Plant, NBS, Edgewater Hall, Library, the James M. Baker Center, teh College of Business, Faculty Hall and Facilities Management.
We expect electric and gas service to be restored to all of the campus by 6 a.m., Monday, Feb. 23.
