Travel to Ebola-Affected Countries

Clayton State University is committed to education both inside and outside of the classroom. We want to keeping you informed so that you and the entire campus community remain healthy.
We want to make you aware of action needed on your part if you intend or are considering travel to Ebola-affected countries. At the present time, this includes travel to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. Travel to these areas is at the highest alert as established by the Center for Disease Control – Level 3. A Level 3 travel alert considers travel to these areas to be high risk and non-essential travel to these areas should be avoided. If you have plans to travel to one of these areas soon, please monitor travel advisories and note precautions that should be taken as outlined by the public health department. If any faculty, staff or students intend to travel to Ebola-affected areas, you will need to contact University Health Services, specifically contact Polly Parks via the contact information below, to inform Clayton State of your intent to travel to Liberia, Sierra Leone or Guinea prior to your departure. Please adhere to the travel advisories as posted by the government as their guidance is set forth to protect everyone’s health and welfare. Additional guidance will be provided to anyone indicating the intent to travel to one of these areas.
