Effective June 16, 2014, all new solicitation and fundraising events will require approval as outlined in Clayton State’s solicitation policy. Most recurring event organizers have already received letters granting approval to conduct their events for the next three years.
Procedures for requesting approval for a new solicitation or fundraising event can be found at: http://www.clayton.edu/VP-Business-Operations/Solicitation. For your reference, this website also includes Clayton State’s solicitation policy, as well as a copy of the training presentation.
Examples of solicitation and fundraising events:
- Solicitation of sponsors for a departmental fair
- Campus department collection of supplies to donate to a charity
- Donation from a local business to sponsor an event on campus
- A local business has a paid advertisement in a Clayton State brochure
