The Homecoming Committee expresses tremendous appreciation to the many parade entrants, volunteers and staff who planned to participate in the Homecoming festivities on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Due to inclement weather during the week leading up to the festivities, we were forced to cancel most of the events planned for the big day. Clayton County was one of the worst metro-Atlanta areas hit with ice, causing dangerous driving conditions and widespread power outages. Although there was not much snow remaining on Homecoming Day, many of our community members were still dealing with the effects of the ice storm and the loss of power and were unable to prepare for the festivities.
We thank all of those involved with Clayton State University’s 2014 Homecoming effort for their commitment and enthusiasm and regret that circumstances beyond our control resulted in this decision.
