Let the countdown begin! Our annual Homecoming is an exciting time at Clayton State University. Homecoming is all about spirit and pride and connecting with your alma mater. And there is no better time to be a part of the #LakerNation.

* All departments across campus are asked to participate. Heidi Benford is coordinating the planning of the kickoff. “Break Up with Your Other School” shirt swap will provide students the opportunity to donate a gently used shirt of another school (UGA, GaTech, etc.) or at least three canned goods/non-perishable food items in exchange for a Clayton State or Homecoming t-shirt. Rosa Servin is investigating t-shirt options with the Loch Shop.

** Proposal is a project in the morning surrounding the obstacle course near SAC and a project in the afternoon/evening surrounding the Bent Tree sculpture. Michael Little, Trent Johnston, Shantel Taylor, and Spenser Emerson will be meeting soon to coordinate options.

Additional Notes

  • Tony LaMarr is reaching out to 107.9 radio station to see if they are willing to come out to CSU during Homecoming.
  • GA discussed interest in a campus bonfire one evening. Further follow-up is needed to see if that’s an option.
  • Heidi Benford and Joanee Buffalo to research and possibly coordinate Homecoming Court; alumna LaCrisha Burton Saba may be involved
